Title: Internal Communications Lead

Location: New York, New York or  Washington, D.C.*

An Internal Communications professional is needed at our client, a global law firm consistently ranked among the top firms in the world. This person will operate as a key component of the Brand & Communications Department, supporting the implementation of engaging internal communications and campaigns.

Critical functions:

  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand their goals and needs while providing communications support

  • Provide strategic and tactical support for a variety of efforts, which could include recruiting-related messaging, firm-wide announcements, DE&I and change initiatives, developing leadership messaging and talking points, etc.

  • Develop familiarity with relevant subject areas in order to advance the goals of internal stakeholders, including HR functions

  • Measure and report on the effectiveness of campaigns, including proactively seeking engagement data

  • Explore trends within internal communications, multimedia, and technology to make recommendations for new initiatives

The Internal Communications specialist should have:

  • Some previous internal comms experience, ideally working closely with HR.

  • Excellent writing skills with the ability to simplify complex information and effectively target varying audiences.

  • The confidence to provide specific recommendations to stakeholders.

  • Analytical skills to evaluate communications initiatives.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing, Management, or a related field.

  • 7+ years of experience working with diverse employee groups, writing/editing, and developing internal campaigns.
