As Director of this firm’s growing Food, Drink, and Consumer practice you will share responsibility for day-to-day activities and projects, working closely with clients and client service team members at all levels to ensure clients can build, grow, protect, and transform their brands. The ideal candidate for this role is an exceptional individual with strong emotional intelligence as well as proven experience in team management, strategic analysis, and execution.
The Director Role:
Developing and cultivating relationships with clients and external audiences
Supervising day-to-day client projects and events to ensure high quality of work, including overseeing all aspects of major events for clients
Working with senior management to develop and write strategy and communications plans while effectively supervising junior staff
Creating and reviewing media materials in order to develop and place appropriate client pieces with consumer and business media
Providing guidance and recommendations for social media strategies while cultivating relationships with relevant bloggers and influencers
Developing budgeting skills through organization of account sub-projects
The Ideal Director of Consumer Marketing:
Well-versed in regional, trade, and national food and beverage media in addition to current industry trends
Strong oral, editing, and written communication and presentation skills using excellent attention to detail
Successful track record in media relations including media strategy development and media pitches with a focus in broadcast media relations
Ability to plan and budget strategically while demonstrating a keen knowledge of the financial aspects of the client relationship
Direct and recent experience developing integrated communications plans using key data analytics for measuring initiative effectiveness
