We are looking for a UK spokesperson and PR Manager for a much loved European telecommunications brand that is launching in the UK this year.  If you are already in a consumer/corporate PR agency at AD or Associate level and looking for that elusive move in house, or if you are in an in house role and looking for something a little more adventurous and independent, then this could be the career move for you.

This is a young, innovative and fun brand that rides at number one for happiness and customer satisfaction in its home country.  We are looking for an experienced PR to lead on all things communications from the central London office.  You will report directly into the leadership team in Austria, but will be independent in spirit and a self-starter who can make things happen and drive results with a sense of autonomy.

We are looking for:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in communications in the UK

  • A solid understanding of the UK from a cultural perspective - both nationally and regionally

  • A proven understanding of what excellence looks like in B2C communications

  • A confident approach as this role will form the nucleus of all activity in the UK

  • A strong national and regional media network - print, tv and radio

  • Ideally a strong regional network - someone with a strong base in a town outside of London is desirable

  • A natural born communicator who is at ease communicating with the media

  • A self-starter who is also collaborative - whilst there are lovely central London offices and a growing team there, you will enjoy a lot of freedom and UK travel with this role

  • An understanding of the PR agency market as you'll be managing agencies

  • Credibility and leadership presence within your professional relationships but also happy to be hands on in your work

  • Someone with a feel for numbers as this is a telecommunications brand so understanding tariffs and packages will be advantageous - please note that our clients preference is to hire someone from outside the telecommunications world to add a freshness to approach

  • A sense of happiness and fun in all that you do - this brand is about happy customers and living your best life, so that sense of happiness and satisfaction should flow through all brand communications

  • A love of sport is advantageous

  • If you speak German too, thats the icing on the cake!

Salary is according to experience within the bracket of £50,000 - £70,000.  Generous benefits including company car (BMW), remote working, gym membership, bonus and more.  Travel to and from Austria will be expected particularly when on boarding and is of course covered.
