Our client is a specialist crisis PR agency with purpose in its DNA, supporting clients across NGO, charity, education and individuals through every imaginable crisis.

Team members come from a diverse background throughout the UK media landscape, and they thrive when they are helping clients in dealing with sensitive and emotive matters.  The good news is that this team is growing, so a new Junior Account Manager role has been created

The Junior Account Manager will bring the skills and ambition to organise, promote and monitor the agency's education client outreach strategy.  Whilst the focus is initially on education, there will be a wider remit to work across all sectors within the first year and the opportunity to specialise in a chosen sector with progression.

Culturally, this is a small, friendly team who enjoy fully flexible working with the office based in a busy, modern working space on the South Bank.  A junior who would relish working with senior people would benefit from such an environment as the opportunity to shadow, listen and learn would be given along with the autonomy to deliver independently.

About you

The ideal candidate is interested in developing client relationships. They will liaise effectively both with the team, existing clients and prospective clients, and understand how to manage smaller client accounts backed up by excellent administration and interpersonal skills.

You will be expected to source, pitch and forge relationships with clients, so confidence and resilience are essential. You will have a basic level of media relations knowledge and experience. Desirable experience

Ideally you will have 12+ months experience with experience of / interest in the UK education sector.

Additionally, you will bring:

  • The ability to work independently

  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills, verbal and written

  • Excellent organisational skills and co-ordination ability

  • Excellent administration skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite – including Word, Excel and PowerPoint – and confident approach to learning new technology and applications

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Ability to work with and influence managers and staff at all levels internally and externally

  • Ability to monitor and evaluate data and produce reports

  • Confidence with speaking to senior stakeholders
