The company is in the midst of a digital transformation plan that has seen the announcement of several senior leadership appointments to continue to drive digital innovation and success in the changing world of retail. Among the changes is a focus on weaving store and online shopping experiences together, with store makeovers that will see 'experience zones' to showcase home cinema, smart home appliances and 'gaming battlegrounds'.

The Role – Senior PR Manager (Corporate Communications)
Due to the team being extra busy communicating the business transformation to the public, we are looking for a Senior PR Manager to join for an initial 8 month fixed term contract, with the possibility to extend for longer or even go to permanent. In house experience is essential for this role – if you are in an agency role at present then you must have recent (within the last 2 years) in house experience.
The title and remuneration of this role is senior because we are looking for someone who can do the strategic piece, doesn’t need direction day to day and can advise the business from a senior perspective; however the overall element of the job is very hands on. You’ll need to be someone who is happy to do the day to day work and get stuck in.
You’ll need to be someone who can get to know the business swiftly, uncovering and developing news stories and campaigns, while also anticipating and managing issues in a calm and measured way.
It’s a well-rounded corporate communications role that will see you have exposure to proactive campaigns, reactive/issues management, sustainability strategy/activity, January trading updates, product launches and supporting the Head of Communications on the transformation programmes.
- A salary of between up to £75,000 depending on experience
