Start-up boutique public relations agency is looking for a Senior Vice President to serve as a senior leader and parter with the industry-alum founder to grow and lead the agency.

The SVP's role is 3-pronged:

1 - Provide strategic PR and communications direction, day-to-day execution, and serve as a main point of contact for clients.

  • This includes building and maintain relationships with key journalists, influencers, and other stakeholders to secure top-tier media placements including executive thought leadership, brand features, profiles, podcasts and more.

2 - Manage, inspire, and guide a team.

  • This includes training and fostering career growth along with guiding ongoing media strategies, evergreen storytelling, and thought leadership opportunities.

3 - Help lead and grow a thriving agency with big aspirations and a varied client roster ranging from establish brands, early-stage startups, and proven entrepreneurs across B2B, B2C, and D2C companies.

  • This includes contributing to new business development efforts, including proposals, pitches, and presentations.
  • Partnering with the CEO to share your ideas, provide feedback, and collaboration.

SVP REQUIREMENTS:

  • 12 -15 years of PR agency experience with a desire to stay on the agency side.
  • True generalist - you have worked on what feels like every industry and client! B2B, B2C, lifestyle, consumer, tech, CPG, financial services, and/or everything in between.
  • Experience working with start-ups or venture capitalists is preferred.
  • Excitement and desire to work in a start-up environment without a ceiling for growth and build an agency in partnership with an incredibly passionate leader.
  • Proven experience securing media placements in top-tier national outlets and maintaining relationships with journalists (this role will be actively pitching media vs. solely reviewing pitches and media lists)
  • Have led teams and had 3+ direct reports (responsible for career growth, reviews, etc.)

DETAILS:

  • Salary: $170,000 - $190,000 annual salary (based on experience and skillset)
  • Benefits & Perks: Unlimited PTO, 401k (matching up to 3%), Healthcare benefits (group rate with company covering 10% of premiums)
  • Location: Please note this is a HYBRID role where employees must come into the NYC office 2-3 times a week. Relocation will not be provided and travel expenses to the office will not be reimbursed.
