· Senior strategic advisory role at the centre of a major global energy organisation’s corporate narrative
· Direct access to Group CEO, Group Chief Communications Officer, and Executive Leadership Team
· Shape global positioning across energy transition, AI, hydrocarbons, LNG and international expansion
· High-impact role focused on reputation, influence, and long-term strategic storytelling

We are seeking a Strategic Communications Senior Advisor to support a major global energy organisation at a pivotal point in its growth, transformation, and international positioning.

This is a senior advisory appointment sitting at the heart of the corporate communications function, working closely with the Group Chief Communications Officer and providing direct counsel to the Group CEO and Executive Leadership Team.

The role is responsible for shaping and elevating the organisation’s global narrative across its most important strategic priorities, ensuring consistency, clarity, and authority across all stakeholder groups.

Key Responsibilities:

· Shape and drive a coherent, enterprise-wide strategic communications narrative aligned to long-term business priorities

· Act as a senior advisor to the Group CEO and communications leadership team on messaging, reputation, and stakeholder positioning

· Elevate communications from reactive delivery to structured, campaign-led strategic programmes

· Develop long-term communications planning discipline across complex, multi-business environments

· Ensure consistent articulation of key strategic themes including energy security, LNG growth, decarbonisation, global expansion, and AI-led transformation

· Strengthen corporate reputation with governments, investors, partners, media, and global industry stakeholders

· Build and manage high-level narrative frameworks that support major corporate priorities and transformation programmes

· Provide senior counsel on issues management, reputational risk, and crisis communications scenarios

· Ensure alignment of messaging across business units, geographies, and leadership teams

You should have:

· Significant senior experience in strategic communications, corporate affairs, or reputation advisory roles

· Background in complex, global, or highly regulated sectors (energy, industrial, infrastructure, government-facing environments)

· Proven experience advising CEOs, boards, or executive leadership teams on communications and reputation strategy

· Strong track record in developing enterprise-level narrative frameworks and integrated communications strategies

· Experience managing high-stakes issues, crisis communications, or reputational challenges

· Ability to operate effectively in matrixed, fast-moving, and politically sensitive environments

· Strong understanding of global energy markets and/or large-scale transformation agendas

· Consultancy and in-house experience highly desirable

· Exposure to the Middle East or other state-linked organisations advantageous

Personal Attributes:

· Strategic thinker with strong narrative instinct and commercial awareness
· Calm, credible, and trusted at senior executive level
· Highly discreet with strong judgement under pressure
· Able to operate across complexity, ambiguity, and competing priorities
· Strong influencing skills without reliance on hierarchy
· Collaborative, low ego, and highly professional in approach

This is a unique opportunity to:

· Shape the global reputation of one of the world’s most significant energy organisations
· Work directly with senior executive leadership on high-impact strategic communications
· Influence how major global themes — energy security, transition, AI, and growth — are understood internationally
· Operate at the intersection of strategy, reputation, and global influence
