Our award-winning strategic B2B boutique integrated communications firm is looking for an DIRECTOR OF CLIENT RELATIONS to advise clients on PR strategies, manage a million dollar+ client portfolio, support new business efforts, and assist with project management.

DIRECTOR OF CLIENT RELATIONS Responsibilities:

  • Manage high-profile B2B accounts, guiding integrated marketing and communication strategy development.
  • Utilize PR agency experience to lead revenue management efforts and nurture client relationships.
  • Spearhead new business initiatives, supporting proposal development and securing new client contracts.
  • Establish clear account roles and exceed goals to drive client retention, renewals, and referrals.
  • Provide consistent counsel to direct marketing contacts and senior teams, ensuring strong partnerships.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of the media landscape, what drives news and how to build successful media relations programs.
  • Oversee the creation of client company and/or product narratives and messages and give direction, edits, and final approvals on all related collateral drafted by the team (including press releases, pitches, briefings, fact sheets, coverage reports, etc.)
  • Collaborate with client services team to align resources with customer goals and budgets.
  • Lead brand positioning workshops and oversee development of client company/product narrative and messaging.

DIRECTOR OF CLIENT RELATIONS Experience and Required Skills:

  • 8 - 12 years of communications experience in the B2B and technology sector in-house and/or at a communications/PR agency.
  • 3+ years of team management experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience overseeing and maintaining $1M+ portfolio of business.
  • Relationship driven with a strong background of dazzling clients and nurturing relationships.
  • Unafraid of having tough conversations with clients and the team alike as it pertains to negative feedback, budgets, deadlines, etc.
  • Proven track record of budget and resource management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to remain focused under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong commitment to meeting deadlines and staying updated on industry trends.

*This is an Austin, TX-based HYBRID role with a weekly in-office requirement. Relocation will not be provided and travel will not be reimbursed.
